Find first empty cell in a column and then add a row?

I am new to the Macro designing and am wondering if I can get some help from the people here.

I am trying to find the first empty cell in Column A and then add a row beneath it, but all the code I have tried thus far can find the cell but has trouble adding the row. Please help.

Range("A1").End(xlDown).Offset(2, 0).Insert Shift:=xlDown
