How do you execute the "Find" function (Ctrl+F) on a protected sheet?

It seems I can't search for unique ID's on worksheets because it's protected. I'm creating the spread sheet so I'd like to ensure the user can search for unique ID's but prohibit any changes on the coding.

Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce

Find will work on protected sheets unless you have don't Select Locked/Unlocked cells checked in Protection options.

Hope that helps,
