Hi guys,

Hope you’re all well?

I’m hoping somebody could advise or help me here.

The issue I’m trying to resolve is as follows:

Say I have 3 columns (Next Site ) and I have a value that could occur in all three columns. Column A is like an ID field which is unique, these are basically towns/cities in my case & column E is like a concatenated field of columns B.C,D. This would be in ‘Sheet 1’.

In Sheet 2, I basically want some sort of lookup that shows me a sequence, but this has to be the longest sequence a town exists in.

I've uploaded an image here to explain what I mean, please let me know if you have any issues viewing it.

Any help or guidance is appreciated, please advise if I need to add more detail or if I’m not making sense.

Also I’m using Excel 2007.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Pretty1996,

You are posting a link to a picture. This means that if this was a problem where one needed to use your data, anyone trying to help you would have to enter the data manually. That makes no sense and I doubt that you would get any answer.

Can you post the raw data, and, post the results you are looking for?

To post your data, you can download and install one of the following two programs:
Excel Jeanie
MrExcel HTML Maker

Or, when using Internet Explorer, just put borders around your data in Excel and copy those cells into your post.

If you are not able to give us screenshots:
You can upload your workbook to Box Net,

sensitive data scrubbed/removed/changed

mark the workbook for sharing
and provide us with a link to your workbook.

Pretty1996,

Thanks for the screenshots.

I can not follow your logic to go from Sheet1 to Sheet2.
