I am trying to do a find replace on formulas that include * for multiplication. A lot of cells that have *12, *11, *10, etc. and I want to replace all of these to be *1. When I try to do a find replace of '*12' it replaces everything prior to the *12 since the * is flagged as the wildcard. Does anyone know how to not replace everything prior, i.e. not use * as the wildcard?

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Great that worked. Is there a way to replace everything after the * with nothing? I.e. if I want to find/replace everything after my current * with 1 regardless of what is after the *? So if I have *12, *11, *10, *9 -- change them all to *1 in one go?

Think I may have got it -- I changed the find replace to say ~** and then did a replace with *1.
