find text within a string

I am writing a simple logical formula--something to accomplish this:

If cell A10 includes the word "Total", then perform calculation, if not, do nothing.

What function finds text string within a string, then can perform another task?

Search() or Find() depending on if you want to match case or not.

=Search("Total",A10) if case sensitivity is not important.

=Find("Total",A10) if case sensitivity is important

Insert either into your IF() formula
