Hi Everyone

I'm trying to find the max and min number in a column but i need it to have the last 6 letters in another column = "Excess" I say last 6 letter not last word as it can be "Legalexcess" or "Upperexcess" or just excess etc, )

the column i want the max and mins from is column AA
The Excess is in column H

prefer a formula for this if possible?

please help if you can

thanks

Tony

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Note that this will not work with excel 2016 (or older)

=MAXIFS(AA,H,"*excess")
