Hi All,

Wrestling with Excel on this one, I am sure there is something obvious I am missing.

Z=Y*X-X

Values Z & Y are known , can is there a formula for Excel to find X ?

Thanks in advance !

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Simplifying your formula, you end up with X = Z/(Y-1)
