Actually the complete table continues until 07/31/02 (rows) and HB23 (columns)

I need to input a date and an hour and and then have a macro that will highlight those cells...

thanks

P.S. How do I get as good as you with Excel??

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Hi,

When you say:
"...and then have a macro that will highlight those cells... " ,
do you mean jump to them or just give them a color?

Hi,

I think you don't need any macro.
You can do it with 'conditinal format'

Insert a row above your data;
enter the date to search in A1;
enter the hours in C1;

select column A;
from the menbar select Format->Conditional Format->condition 1: cell value is equal to =$A$1 , select your format and hit OK;
Do the same for all the cells containing hours but set condition 1: cell value is equal to =$C$1
