I'm racking my brain to figure out a formula that, when I type an initial month and year, can find them in this table and return the cumulative index until today or an specified date. Exemple: The cumulative index from Oct/2011 to feb/2012. Then the formula would return 4,29%.

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
