I'm fairly new to Excel and have been tasked with comparing to huge data sets (same workbook, Sheet1 & Sheet2) that have the same Unique Identifier but can contain varying dates. Sheet1 Column A contains the same set of Project#s as Sheet2 Column A. And Columns B through HH contain corresponding dates for each Project#. Each column has a heading so row 1 is only headings. What I want is if Sheet1!A:A matches Sheet2!A:A but any of the other columns have different dates than what are in Sheet1 that they are highlighted (or pointed out in some way) in Sheet2. This seems a bit beyond a typical VLookup, Match, or If function for I have tried multiple approaches. PLEASE assist! Thank you in advance!

Hi,
Welcome to MrExcel.

Question.
Will the Unique Identifier in A2 on sheet1 be the same in A2 on Sheet2.
If so, is this what you imagine the result to be?....

You will see that I have used a Helper column on sheet1 to sum the dates. I have added 2 helper columns on sheet2, one to sum the dates and one to identify if the values in the helper column are the same or not. I have then used Conditional Formatting to highlight the rows were 1 appears in the MATCH column.

If your Unique Identifiers are not in the same row then I'm not sure how to solve this for you, sorry.

Good luck
