Pretty much recovered from my meltdown. Only oddity is a reference to an external link somewhere in my workbook. I referred to many sources online on how to go about finding them ...

In Data>Edit Link : I can see reference to the external link, but not sure where it is.
Find "*.xl* within workbooks, by row in formulas (values and comments) came up empty.
All my named ranges were checked and any external link removed.
I have no conditional formatting in my workbook (to my knowledge)
Data validation rule shows no external link associated with it.
I have one shape, and unlike the others assigned a macro, that macro is referred to as 'SOP Schedule.xlsm'!exit_sd
No other macro assigned shape has the file name preceeding it. I did clear this macro assignment that had the filename.macroname format assigned to, and thinking that may be the culprit, removed it from the shape. I still received notice of external links when I opened the workbook, so that wasn't it.
I don't think I have any charts. If I do they are well hidden.

I'm out of options of how to find this link. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

My apologies if this might be considered a double post to this. The other post was much broader in my pleas.
