Finding Maximum values

Hi all,


I am having a little problem with the max function in excel. I have tried to explain the problem as shown below:

I need to insert a formular in column D that will give me the maximum value that corresponds to each of the names in column C using data from column B. For instance the maximum value of "aa" from column B is 437. I need a formular to report the maximum values of aa, bb, cc, ee, dd as shown in column C below.

I will be glad to get help from you. Thanks.
