I have a column with a wide range of dates which I would like the average of all of those dates to Today's Date.

Is that possible?

Thank you in advance!

i.e.
Column A
10/21/2017
10/20/2017
8/1/2017

The average would be approx. 47 days

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
.
Another method (more involved  ) :

Excel 2007 32 bit
A
B
C
D
E
F
1
10/21/2017
11/10/2017
20
47
2
10/20/2017
11/10/2017
21
3
8/1/2017
11/10/2017
101
4
5

Formula in C1, drag down : =B1-A1
7
Formula in E1, =AVERAGE(C:C)
8
9
Format E1 as NUMBER, no decimals.
Sheet: Sheet1
