Hello,
I have 475 feet of pipe that I need to cut to the following sizes. Each pipe is 40 feet long (480 Inches) so I want to optimize the cuts in order to stay as close as possible to 12 pipes.
<colgroup><col><col></colgroup><tbody>
</tbody>
<colgroup><col><col></colgroup><tbody></tbody>my current spreadsheet has a table with 15 columns for possible cut sizes for 13 rows (pipes). J2:X14
I enter the different sizes manually in each row and try to keep the scrap pieces at the end at 5" or less. Then I move to the next one.
I've heard opensolver can do this automatically. I dont know how to feed it the data it needs, can anyone help?
Thanks
