I'd like to add a number in Sheet1 column A1 "6412" for example and flash fill the number down to auto fill cells by
multiples of four. is that possible?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
So A2 would be 6416 (6412+4) and then A3 would be 6420 (6412+8)?

If this is what you want, try

=A1+4 in cell A2 and drag down as far as you need.

I have Excel 2010 so I can't test this myself but I would expect it to work.
