What is an easy way to flip a set of numbers?

I have: 12345-9876 and want to flip it to: 9876-12345

I tried =Left and Right, with no success.

thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Try this:

=RIGHT(A2,4)&"-"&LEFT(A2,5)

assuming your string is in cell A2, and it always has that format.

Try:
Code:
=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND("-",A1))&"-"&LEFT(A1,FIND("-",A1)-1)
