Hi Folks

I have been using the FollowHyperlink method to open documents from Excel and Access 2000, but having upgraded to 2003 I find that while Office documents open fine with this method, .pdf documents just will not open.
Sometimes Acrobat will open, but no document and other times I assume Acrobat opens with a flash on the screen and closes immediately.

The code has not changed as the files were created in Office 2000 (or maybe 97)

Anybody come across this discriminatory behaviour and managed to make it work?

Regards

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Most such applications will open with filenames supplied like
Excel.exe MyFile.xls
application - space - filename

We usually need to include the full paths to both. Perhaps you can do this with your links.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the type of file is variable, so the file needs to be opened in its associated application.

This all worked OK before, I'm just not sure why it fails (with no errors) since the upgrade.

There may still be scope for using a method similar to my suggestion. Come back with some more detailed information if you wish.
