I'm looking for two almost identical basic stars - one all filled in and one just the outline. Something like char 171 and 182 in wingdings, except the 182 has some shading I don't like. I don't really have the time to hunt for this right now, so hopefully I can leverage off what some one may have done.

Thanks,
Ian

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
When I do 181, I get a clear star with in a circle - thanks but I'm looking for just a plain star, with no shadings on the border.

Thanks again for any assistance

If yoy have Map Symbols, try the asterisk(*) and the dollar sign($).

* = hollow star
$ = filled star

I'm not sure where Map Symbols comes from but I found it on my PC - Win 2K
