Is there any way to make a footer look for data in a cell?

So if at anytime cell a1 changes the footer changes as well without using a macro?

Thanks,
Mike

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Good evening blacktour

You can do this from Excel 2002. In versions of Excel pre 2002, without a macro, no.

Why wouldn't you want to use a macro to get the desired result?

Sub CustomFooter1()
' Inserts formula result from cell into the page footer
' for each sheet in the active workbook
For Each sht In ActiveWorkbook.Sheets
sht.PageSetup.CenterFooter = Range("A1")
Next sht
End Sub
