Form Controls

I am running the 365 version or whatever it is called on a Mac running High Sierra. The controls under the Developer tab would appear to be Form Controls and not Active X Controls? Can I format the background colour or rotate the spinner control? I'm sure that my old Office 2007 version would allow me to choose between Form and Active X Controls. Anyway, I just need to tart the appearance of the controls up so how do I go about that?

Thank you, as I expected with Form Controls. So how do I select Active X controls to insert onto my spreadsheet?

Macs don't support ActiveX, so you can't use them.
That said, I think it's possible to do using parallels or bootcamp, which allow you to run Win 10 on Mac.

That surprises me because very recently I offered tidy up a couple of spreadsheets for a friend and wasn't aware that they were in Open Office format which I have never used. I have used Excel ever since it superseded Multiplan in the mid 80s so thought I would give it a go. Whilst not as slick as Excel in a number of ways I was impressed for a totally free product. The image I have uploaded shows the sheet in design mode and the control panel for the list box shown. This looks to me very much like an Active X control to me unless you are able to advise differently.
