how come when I try to add additional controls to my form, I get the message: "Cannot add control, control not licensed"

I do have a fully functional licensed and registered copy of ms office.

Hi,

Which control are you talking about? There will be many controls that exist of your system that you won't be able to use because they are run-time versions only that are installed with various applications.

That control is part of the Common Controls. You would only be able to use that control if you have something like Visual Basic or Office Developer installed.
