Form entry to create join between two tables

Hi, I'm relatively new to Access.

I have two main tables, essentially these are item masters with unique records: "SupplierParts" & "MyParts"

Many supplier parts can relate to one MyPart i.e.:

MyPart	SupplierPart
Part1	Part1
Part1	Part2
Part1	Part3

Etc...

I have created a third table ("ItemLinks") to link the two and this has fields: "MyPartNum" & "SupplierPartNum".

I want to use a form to append records to the "ItemLinks" table, creating a new record for each MyPart and SupplierPart combination. The form needs to validate (i'm thnking drop down lists) both MyPart and SupplierPart to ensure they exist and prevent data entry errors.

Can anyone suggest how I might achieve this?

Combos on the form, each with its rowsource set to the required main table field. Set "Limit to List" to yes to prevent user additions to the list. Admin then has to add new list items. Can use 'cascading' combos to filter subsequent combos based on selection of 'parent' combo.

I have created a form and can select the unique keys from each table.

How do I enter this data into a new record in my "ItemLinks" table?

I really am new to this.

If your form is bound to that table, then simply entering data or making combo selections will create the records automatically. It seems like you need to review some videos or documents about how to do this stuff if you're totally in the dark about it. I think this forum is ok for helping solve issues but it's not really set up for training. A lot of people like Steve Bishop's videos so maybe start there?
