I need to format a range of cells based on two conditions. One condition is if the date in the cell is less than or equal to TODAY(), format font bold/red (I can do this using conditional formatting), but if an adjacent cell has "Retired" in it, forget the bold/red and strikethrough the date in the cell instead.

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
You need 2 CF formula, in order:
=B1="Retired"
Stop if trues
format font: "Regular", color: automatic; Strikethrough

and

=B1<=TODAY()
format font: "Bolf", color: pick red color
