I have an Excel file which is currently used in English speaking countries and a column of dates is formatted as dddd dd/mm/yyyy
For example a date of 01/04/2013 (1st April 2013) would be formatted to display as Monday 01/04/2013
The problem I have is that this file is now going to be used in a French speaking market, so for the "ddd" part of the format, I need it to display as Lundi 01/04/2013 (the French for Monday being Lundi)
Is it possible to set date specific formatting based on different countries (I'm using Excel 2007)? I know that in Word, you can use the "Set Language" option on the Reviewing tab, but that options isn't available in Excel.
I only have the problem with French at the moment, but this file could end up being used in a number of different countries, so I need an approach whereby I can specify a country and have the day part of the date formatted using the language of each country.
