Hi All, this is probably super easy but everything I find is for if date has passed....

I'm looking for format the cell green if it has a date in it. (ANY DATE) (Dates are written in this format: 12/3/21)
And, Red, if it has any other text in it that's not a date.

I'm fine using 2 separate conditional format lines. Entering the date will overwrite the existing text for my needs.

thank you!

Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
The big question is if you are only talking about "dates entered as dates" and not "dates entered as text" in Excel.
If you only want "dates entered as dates", it is important to understand how dates really work in Excel.
Valid date entries in Excel are really just numbers, specifically the number of dates since 1/0/1900 with a special date format applied (change any valid date entry to "General" format in Excel, and you will see the date as Excel sees it).

So, since validly entered dates in Excel are really just numbers, you can use the ISNUMBER function on it to determine if it is a valid date, i.e.
Excel Formula:
=ISNUMBER(A1)
