I want to enter 16 digits and have it display as
xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
so I set Custom format as 0000 0000 0000 0000 and also tried
#### #### #### ####. Both work as far as the spacing of the displayed number but something is causing the rightmost digit to change to a zero no matter what I enter.

For example, 1234567812345678 displays as
1234 5678 1234 5670

What gives?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Excel will not hold precision past 15 digits.

For >15, you must use Text formats to preserve the data.

Not sure how to get your formatting, other than concatenating bits of the original data with spaces.
