I have many, many buttons that have taken on various visual properties over the development stages. I'd like to use the format painter to apply the same formatting to each. That doesn't appear to be an option, however.

Any ideas how can get around this, or another solution?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
jkeyes,

not succesful in all details
(how to change Font ?)
but this could give you a start
Code:
Sub button_info()
Dim btn As Shape

For Each btn In ActiveSheet.Shapes
If LCase(Left(btn.Name, 13)) = "commandbutton" Then
  With Worksheets("sheet1").OLEObjects(btn.Name)
  .Height = 40
  .Width = 120
    With .Object
    .Caption = btn.Name
    .ForeColor = vbBlack
    .BackColor = vbYellow
    End With
  End With
End If
Next btn
End Sub

kind regards,
Erik

Are they from the Forms toolbar or the Control Toolbox toolbar? If the first, you should be able to select them all by holding down the Ctrl key and then doing whatever format you would like. If the latter, then you can select them all by holding the Shift key and then display the Properties to make changes.
