I have formatted my worksheet so that it colours the amount of cells I need when in (A1) there is a figure as each cell = 135 so in A1 the figure can be 2000 and there will be 14 cells that are coloured, leaving me with 110. Now in condition formatting it colours 15 cells not 14, how can i change this?

You just have to eliminate the conditional format of the 15th cell that is getting colored. The easiest way o do this is to go to a cell with no conditional format, then click on the Format Painer (the little yellow brush icon in the menu bar), then click on the offending 15th cell.
