Hello

Is there a way, in MS excel 10, to set the series colours and ensure that the initial chart can be saved as a template?

example:

Series 1 = Blue
Series 2 = Green
Series 3 = Yellow
Series 4 = Pink

I have numerous Combination Charts (Stacked Column & Line) reading off the same data set but just "cut" differently. For consistancy across the workbook I'd like the Series to stay a certain colour.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Kind regards
Tracey

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
right click on the series but make sure only the bar you want to change is selected it can be finikey, right click and select format data series, fill and select your colour. To save a chart for future templates click on chart and go to chart tools/design-and second tab from left is save as template.if you hover over it first it will explain

hi, thanks for that... I do know how to change the series colours individually but how to keep the colours assigned to a specific series or rather series name when the data is updated...
ie. series "Ball" will remain blue if series increase or decrease as the data evolves....

at the moment I have keep reformatting when chart is updated.
