Hi there

I am right in thinking that your values are in columns, a1= 230, b1=232 and you want them in rows, a1=230, a2=232?

Kindest regards

Hi Peter,

The values are all in the same cell but the values are separated by tabs. The values are pasted in from a text file.

Hi James

Have you tried to open the text file within excel as a text file. When you try to open the text file, excel uses the text import wizard, at stage 1, click on the next button, in stage 2 click comma for 'delimiters', on stage 3 select the data format (being careful to acknowledge if the value contains a leading zero be sure to select 'text' and then clicking finish will place the values in columns. You can of course record this.

Have you tried this?

Kindest Regards

1) highlight the column, go to data | text to column
2) select delimited, hit next, select tab hit finished
3) select the row of data & copy
4) edit |paste special | transpose.
