How would I get this result in my cell using vba:

July 11, 2020 Saturday [44023]

I have this, but it's not dropping the '[44023]' portion, which is the serial of that date.

Code:
.Cells(trow, 4) = Format(inq_date, "mmmm dd, yyyy dddd [#####]")

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Try removing the square brackets and hash signs. It appears to be doing exactly as shown.

Sorry, I just reread my question. I do want the [44023] included in the string.
That being said, removing the contents as suggested HappierThan won't provide the desired result. I do appreciate the effort.

Code:
.Cells(trow, 9) = Format(inq_date, "dddd dd mmm, yyyy") & " [" & inq_date & "]"

Thank you.
