I have a table on one sheet and a doc on another which combines data from the first sheet and shows results based on VLOOKUP formulae.
In certain cases I need to have a one cell blank, in certain cases I need to have this cell with date results.

I applied date formatting on that cell - "DD.MM.YYYY"
When the date is not needed, I always manually apply this type of formatting - "0;-0;;@" so that the cell remains blank.

Can I somehow combine these two types of formatting into one, so that when the date is needed it'll be displayed, when not - the cell will remain blank?

Thank you in advance.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
