Hi, New to the board...

I am trying to format a range of cells to show half hourly increments, say 12.00, 12.30, 01.00, 01.30 etc etc..
Trouble is, every time I use the format command from the toolbar, excel adds a date and then increments by 1...??
I have used excel for some years now, and it has always been a case of right click on the cell, format and everything was AOK...this is a clean install of office 2000, running on win 2k pro...can anyone help?

Cheers

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Right mouse click on the cells, select format cells, and select one of the Time Options... that should suffice...

Are you formatting time to display 12.00 instead of 12:00? What format are you using?
