Hi All,

I am using Excel 2010. I have a bunch of numbers that need to be turned into percentages. I also have - percentages I need to display as (x.x%). Example 29.03 wants to show up as 2903%. -29.03 I wants to show up as -2903.0% If you look in custom formats and do 0.0/% it shows up correctly for the positive numbers as 29.0% However, if I do that for the negative numbers it shows up as -29.0%. I need to get the parentheses around the negative numbers without the - sign replaced by parentheses and the percentage sign remaining, so -29.03 shows as (29.0%). I have tried 0.0/%;(0.0/%) and 0.0/%_);(0.0/%) but I can't get it to work.

Bottom line

I need 29.03 to display as 29.0% and -29.03 to display as (29.0%) and it is a huge amount of data that cannot be done 1X1

Excel Facts

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
29 is 2900% -- 29% is 0.29

If you want negative percents in parens, format as 0.00%_);(0.00%)

Thank you all. I just came to realize I was using a forward slash instead of a backslash. 0.0\%;(0.0\%) works. My apologies, I should have vetted that. Best and thank you for the repsonses!
