I have a form with several items (buttons to run macros, text boxes to input data, labels with info and titles). I want to put a rectangle around certain items and color in the rectangle.

Whenever I color this in, the text boxes, buttons, etc. disappear behind the color. How do I get the color to be behind the labels, text boxes, buttons, etc.?

THANKS!

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
With your form in design view, you will find "Bring to front" and "Send to back" in the Format menu.

Thanks. That worked.

Can you tell me how to change the color of a command button and a message box?

You can use a label as a button and you can change the colour of a label. You have to create the label from the toolbox though. The labels that are automatically created along with textboxes have no events available.

You can create your own custom message box just using a regular form with a button or two. Set the Pop-up, Modal, and Border Style properties as desired and the background colour. It will take a little more VBA code than a msgbox but not much.
