hi all,
it is possible to add a word "std" on each cells after i enter a number value. so i have 187 std, 190 std etc instead of typing 1 9 0 s t d.

You can use a custom number format for this.

I used this one #,##0_)"STD";[Red](#,##0)"STD"

Custom format cell as

General "std"

Does the value need to actually exist, or just show up in the cell? (ie. Formatting versus actual text in the cell)

Custom format the cells to this.
@ "std"

And std will appear after each Cell.

PS-If you want the value to exist in the cell it will require a vba event driven macro.

Since everyone else did the other solution, I thought I would give you some vba. This will add std to the end of every entry in your worksheet. Just paste it to the vba worksheet that you are doing the entry in.

    Application.EnableEvents = False
    Target = Target & "std"
    Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub
