Hello all,

A simple one for you.

I would like a auto row to show months of the year in his order
Cell B7: last month "August" Cell B8: This month Cell B9: Next month ..... and so on, so I have 13 months in total.

Is there a formula like =TEXT((MONTH),"mmmm")+1 ... +2..... +3 etc

Thanks

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Do you want the months to change (i.e. B7 will always be last month, not always August)?

Hello Bbott

yes, this will change as the rest will depending on current month this was to demonstrate the format. just need month not full date.

Adrac,

Perhaps in B7 and drag down....

=TEXT(EOMONTH(TODAY(),ROW()-8),"mmmm")

Hope that helps.

Ok that works, however not sure how, can you explain the break down. Also found a flaw in my own question lol:

Can you also add I year like "August 14" as there are 2 of the same month.
