Formula Bar With 'Invisible' Characters

I have a sheet that shows correct values in the actual cells. But the formula bar is not showing all characters. The spaces are there for missing 'invisible' characters and some of the last characters show up (visible).

I'm just baffled by this.

Any thoughts?
