Formula based on First 2 letter of a word

Dear All,

I required a formula for 3rd column of Table 2 based on Table 1
Required "Variety" based on first 2 letters (In RED) of Item code. I am attaching herewith a screenshot.

Kindly advise required formula.

Mr. Fluff, your formula is working, but it is showing #N/A in some cases.
Mr. gaz_chops, your both formulas are working for me.
Mr. Dave Patton, you guessed the correct requirement of my problem, but your both formula are getting #N/A.
