Formula condition help

Hi, I have a formula in B1

=INDEX($E$12:$E$40,MATCH(A53,$F$12:$F$40,0),1)

However I would like to only apply this formula if cell A1 contains the letter M. If it doesn't then I would like it to simply enter a '-' hyphen in the cell.

Can this be done?

=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("m",A1)),INDEX($E$12:$E$40,MATCH(A53,$F$12:$F$40,0),1),"-")
