Good morning all,

cell I3 has a date in it..... just DD NOT MM/DD/YYYY

What I am trying to do is use that date and write a formula in another cell (R11) so that R11 gives the DD for the DAY BEFORE cell I3.....I haven't worked much with DATE formulas...Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
Well it depends on whether this is a number representing a day of the month or a date formatted as DD?

OK, and how are you defining month? Current month, last month, a cell etc.?

Try this

=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), H4, I3)-1

If your year reference is in a different cell replace YEAR(TODAY()) with the cell reference.
