Formula for Find and replace

Anyone has any formula for Find and Replace. I've a sheet with text or data contains say 7*8/A*B and I'm copied it and need to paste it on a new sheet. I want the data that pasted on the new sheet to automatically change from 7*8/A*B to 7-8/A-B.

can you use a helper column and use SUBSTITUTE to change the "*" to "-".

Actually what I want is say, in simple term, a sheet with data 7*8/A*B in cell A1, and I copied this cell A1 and paste it on another new sheet in A1 as well, but in cell B1, it will automatically show 7-8/A-B. Which means I need a formula in cell B1 to automatically change it instead of using the "Find and Replace" function. My question is what formula to put in cell B1.
