I need some help from a formula Guru PLEASE...

I have a "row" of 10 numbers and I want to know if the value in this row of numbers has increased, decreased or stayed constant over a period of time.

One last question...

when using the formula =sign(linest(a1:aJ)) is there anyway to write it so that it ignores the fact that one of the cells is "blank"?

That is a much more complicated problem. I think this is correct, and it may be able to be substantially simplified:

=SIGN(SUMPRODUCT( ISNUMBER(A3:J3) * (COLUMN(A3:J3) - AVERAGE(COLUMN(A3:J3))) * (A3:J3 - AVERAGE(A3:J3))))
