Hi,

I am new here so apologies if this has been posted in the incorrect location!

I have a spreadsheet that is tracking the location of documents at work.

What I need is for the 'Document Location' column (R10) to read 'Steve Brown' if there is a date in the columns 'First Submission' (F10) or 'Second Submission' (H10) or 'Third Submission' (L10).

However, if there is a date in following column i.e. 'Comments Received' (G10) or Second Comments Received' (K10) then the 'Document Location' column (R10) needs to read 'Enterprise'.

The idea being that after first submission, the document is with Steve Brown. Once Steve has read and commented on the document he passes it back to Enterprise. Then once the comments have been addressed the document is then passed back to Steve for further review and so on. I need the 'Document Location' column to track where the document is at all times.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your help!

Nick.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
@Special-K99

I understand Tip #2, but it's quite a complex request, hence the short title. Should I just post the whole question in the title?
