Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
edit - oh never mind since you changed you post
Ok I must be missing somthing be that is the correct answer

=SUM(O32,Q32:S32)-AA32
O32 = 41.50
Q32 = .00
R32 = .00
S32 = .00
-AA32= 1.50

Answer = 40.00

what are you seeing that makes you think it should be something else?

I am sory I had a wrong cell reference in V32 that was why I was getting the wrong answer. As I said I think I am brain dead today. I have another formula: =SUM(U32,V32,-AA32) it is returning a -1.5. How can I make it return a zero if the amount is less than zero? :oops:

=if(=SUM(U32,V32,-AA32)<0,0,SUM(U32,V32,-AA32))
