Hello,

I am currently using the following formula: =if($b$1="Doe,John",c1,"x") to display data in a range when the value of b1 meets specific criteria. The value in B1 is imported data and changes when new a persons data is imported into the spreadsheet. Currently I am copying and pasting the results of this formula into another range in order to save the results for reporting purposes. What I would like to know is if there is a way to either format the destination range or if there is a formula which will allow the cells to populate with the appropriate information but not change when the value in cell B1 changes. Hope this makes sense.

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Good morning Goodspeed

If I understand you correctly, what you need to do is highlight the range you want to set as "hard coded" cell values, right click and select copy. The right click and select Paste Special and when the dialog appears select Values and click OK.
