Formula help!

I have had a search on the boards but couldn't see anything....

I have 3 dates for example;

Date 1 Date 2 Date 3
02/01/2011 05/03/2011 09/03/2011

I need a formula that would work out which of the dates is greater between date 2 and 3 only, and then go on to work out the difference (in days) between the greater date and date 1.

Any help much appreciated..

Try

=MAX(B1,C1)-A1

format as Number.
