Is it possible to make a formula (that contains references from anorther workbook) work, without opening the refered file? If there's no solution for that, how do I check if a workbook is already opened?

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
It depends on what the formula is. What is the formula exactly?

The formula is:

=SUMPRODUCT((('[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!B2:B1000)=$B$4)*(('[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!E2:E1000)=$A$4)*(('[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!K2:K1000)>0);('[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!K2:K1000))/$C$4*1

The question is about making this formula work, without opening the file 'MileHigh LiveBook.xls'.

Try,

=SUMPRODUCT(--('[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!B2:B1000=$B$4),--('[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!E2:E1000=$A$4),--('[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!K2:K1000 > 0),'[MileHigh LiveBook.xls]Trades'!K2:K1000)/$C$4
