Formula instead of Goal Seek (is it possible?)

I have this:
Cell A2 has a value (Goal Seek would be "Set Cell")
Cell A1 is the desired value (Goal Seek would be "To Value")
Cell A3 has a percent (Goal Seek this would be the "By Changing")

So if I have
A2 = 3.27
A1 = 3.50
A3 = 10.23%
I can put the formula anywhere!!!
I want to change cell A2 to equal cell A1 by changing the percent in cell A3

I would really appreciate the help on this.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Nobody can help because we can't see how the numbers are related. Provide the formulas and some more information.

DRSteele,
Thanks for your reply.
I am trying to to create a formula to do what the "Goal Seek" tool does under the Data menu.
When you use the "Goal Seek" tool in Office you don't have formulas, it just figures it for you.
In words here is what I would like:
I have a value of $3.27. I would like to make that value $3.50 by changing the percent in cell A3

Hope that is clearer.
Thanks

For Goal Seek to work the "set cell" (A2) must contain a formula that includes the changing cell (A3) as a precedent. So what is the formula in A2?

You don't seem to understand. What's needed for us is to see the algorithm that produces all the figures, like your a2, b4, b8. Only then can we deduce a formula.

The value in A2 is solely determined by the values in B4 and B8. Unless either b4 or B8 are dependent on A3 or dependent on cells that are dependent on A3 you are out of luck. If there is a dependency we need to know the formulas in those cells.
