Hello,

i want to add a vlookup (or any other formula) where the data is in multiple other sheets (sheets named, jan, feb, mar..... ) and the value to be picked up would depend on the sheet name which is dynamic, based on cell A1 in sheet named main. So if a user selects 'Jan' in cell A1, the file would vlookup the value in sheet named Jan.

thank you in advance!

regards,

Khalid

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
You need the INDIRECT function - something like INDIRECT("'"&Main!A1&"'!A1:G1000") for example.
